Zero protection. There is a leather strap around the helmet and a small foam piece at the very top. The only thing protecting you is a thin plastic shell. Good luck if you get hit in the head wearing this. Also I purchased the largest size and a cap does not fit underneath.

This product is great. It looks great and feels great. The sizes run big. I wear a 7 3/8 hat size and even the largeneral helmet was too big
